(BABA) Build America, Buy America Act Compliance

Hazelcrest, IL: May, 2024. For Immediate Release.

Mi-Jack Products, Inc., the premier manufacturer of American Made rubber-tired gantry (RTG) cranes, lifting attachments, and technology for container terminal and heavy industrial applications, remains committed to partnering with customers in their efforts to achieve zero-emissions and made-in-the-USA buying requirements.

Grants and agreements supporting implementation of Build America, Buy America Act provisions often require compliance with Buy America domestic content restrictions, or similar requirements, for iron and steel products and manufactured products covered under these types of regulations. All our domestic offerings are below the maximum threshold of 50% Iron and Steel components by cost, and therefore comply immediately with the (BABA) requirements for Manufactured Products. To determine these values, Mi-Jack Engineering and Purchasing groups complete detailed reviews of the bill of materials for each of the products.

Current power options for our equipment range from hybrid electric models to cable reels, bus bars, and Cummins diesel stage IV engines. We are currently developing hydrogen fuel cells for further flexibility. All our equipment is backed by US-based 24/7/365 service and parts support, powered by our network of strategic locations throughout the US.

Our RTG cranes range in capacity from 30-300 US tons. We are first and only American manufacturer to make fully electric RTG cranes. Our attachments range from magnets, straps and twist locks to power rotating and expandable spreaders. Our technology provides auto steering, remote workstations, digital twin visibility, fleet monitoring, inventory management, and workforce/workzone protection.

For the last 70 years, Mi-Jack’s cranes, attachments, and technology have been built in Hazel Crest, Il, an economically depressed suburb 30 minutes south of Chicago. To give back locally and nationally, Mi-Jack founded a training academy, the John J. Lanigan Sr. Training Academy, named after our founder. It produces a pipeline of industry-trained professionals for a variety of skills-based jobs including equipment operators, crane technicians, welders, and more.

We are a 3rd and 4th generation family-owned American manufacturer and are proud to support the material handling needs of U.S. and Global container terminal and heavy industrial applications. Contact Mi-Jack for more information regarding our compliant RTG cranes, attachments, and technology.
