An electric-hybrid Rubber-Tired Gantry Crane, developed from the ground up to meet the stringent environmental demands of the intermodal transportation industry. A small electric generator and diesel engine (<200 hp), minimizes fuel consumption and emissions. The engine only runs while charging the batteries and only provides average power, not peak power as typical diesel-hydraulic or diesel-electric cranes require.
