Mi-Jack and International Transportation Service Secure CORE Grant Funding for Zero-Emission Equipment

Mi-Jack Products assisted International Transportation Services (ITS), in securing $495,000 in grant money to support the purchase of five Terberg YT203EV terminal tractors for their port operations in Longbeach, California.

The funding was awarded through the Clean Off-Road Equipment Voucher Incentive Project (CORE), a multi-million-dollar statewide initiative intended to encourage the purchase or lease of commercial zero-emission off-road equipment. As an authorized dealer for Taylor Machine Works and Terberg Taylor Americas, Mi-Jack helped initiate and facilitate the grant process for ITS.

ITS was awarded $90K as the base award for each Terberg vehicle, along with an additional 10% incentive for being deployed in a disadvantaged community. These five Terberg YT203-EV Terminal Tractors will help support ITS’ sustainability initiatives, while also complying with the California Air Resources Board (CARB) emission regulations for cleaner air across the state.

“We’re proud to assist ITS in their purchase of Terberg’s electric vehicles, along with furthering green initiatives in the state of California,” said Rob Heinz, Manager of Sales Engineering at Mi-Jack. “As an authorized dealer of Taylor and Terberg’s zero emission vehicles, Mi-Jack continues to offer a range of electric heavy-duty forklifts, loaded container handlers, and terminal tractors eligible for CORE vouchers.”

“We appreciate how easy Mi-Jack made the CORE funding process; Mi-Jack basically handled everything.” said Halfdan Ross, Chief Project Officer at ITS.

Funding Opportunities: CORE Voucher Incentive Program

California-based businesses interested in transitioning to electric, zero-emission equipment may qualify for future funding opportunities through the CORE Voucher Incentive Program. While the program is currently closed for funding, it is expected to re-open for the summer of 2026. Below are some Terberg and Taylor equipment that qualifies for the CORE voucher program:

Taylor zlc 994 terminal tractor

The Taylor ZLC-994 is an all-electric loaded container handler with zero emissions. Designed for two-shift runtimes (under normal work cycles), it features an all-welded steel frame and a 650V all-electric battery drivetrain for increased productivity.

terberg taylor 360l port and terminal tractor

The Taylor ZH-360L is a zero-emission electric lift that’s built for efficiency and durability. With a long 8-hour duty cycle and quick 1.5-hour recharge, the ZH-360L is ideal for high-volume, heavy lifting industries like steel, lumber, and container handling.

terberg taylor yt203 yard and terminal tractor

The Terberg YT203-EV is a fully electric, zero-emission yard and terminal tractor designed to deliver performance comparable to diesel-powered models. Advanced battery technology allows the vehicle to maintain operational efficiency in both warm and cold climates.
